Thoresby Colliery Band were formed in 1948 and are based in the North Nottinghamshire village of Edwinstowe, home of the legendary Robin Hood.
The band has represented the Midlands Area for the finals of the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain on a number of occasions and is looking forward to it's 60th Anniversary celebrations in 2008.
